Tally ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Tally restaurant inventory management platform, including its SMS notification features.

Program name: Tally SMS Alerts

Description: Tally sends SMS notifications for inventory reminders, low-stock alerts, and weekly order reports to opted-in users of the Tally restaurant inventory management platform.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive up to one (1) reminder message per scheduled reminder period plus additional alert messages when inventory thresholds are reached. Typical usage is 1–3 messages per day.

Message & data rates: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to SMS alerts in the Tally Settings, you consent to receive text messages from Tally at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or use of the platform.

Supported carriers include but are not limited to: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and MetroPCS. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information collected through the Tally SMS alerts program will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share data with the following service providers solely to operate the platform:

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than delivering services to Tally.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Session logs are used for activity display and are not retained indefinitely. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at maxwellwesslock@gmail.com.

Account Deletion: You may permanently delete your Tally account at any time from within the app (More → Delete My Account). Deleting your account will immediately remove your profile, sign-in credentials, and remove you from all kitchens. This action cannot be undone. Kitchen inventory data you entered will remain in the kitchen's records unless the kitchen manager separately deletes it.

We use industry-standard security practices including Firebase Authentication, Firestore security rules, and HTTPS to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Tally is intended for use by adults in a professional restaurant or food service environment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
